The Chinese Feng-Shui is based on 'Tao' principles, whereas Indian Vastu has religious overtones. The Chinese rely on animals as also the constructive/destructive cycles while Indians rely on rituals, yantras, mantras and deities. Feng-Shui is the fundamental base for constructing buildings and has fancied the Western World, though of late.
